Early writing in digital environments
In 1993, Nicchio maintained a cultural column on Tremonte BBS, during a phase in which writing, cultural curation and digital environments were already beginning to overlap.
Metrópole — Rádio Nova Paulista FM
Between 1994 and 1995, Marcelo Nicchio hosted and curated the music programming of Metrópole on Rádio Nova Paulista FM 103.7 in São Paulo. According to his biography, the program aired Monday through Friday from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. and remained on air for approximately 18 to 19 months.
Guests remembered from that period include members of Raimundos, Velhas Virgens, 365, Violeta de Outono and Gueto. At least one complete interview with Velhas Virgens survives as an MP3 recorded directly from the broadcast and is awaiting publication.
TV Program "Homens na Cozinha"
In 1998, Nicchio worked in executive production for Homens na Cozinha, a television program created and hosted by Fábio Ávila and broadcast by Band. His work focused on fundraising.
Episodes survive on YouTube and will be incorporated here as the audiovisual catalogue develops.
Film fundraising
Through Nicchio & Associados S/C Ltda., a family company working with tax-incentive projects, Nicchio worked as a Cultural Producer and contributed to fundraising for cultural and film projects including Carandiru and Domésticas.
Folha de S.Paulo — “Órfãos do Rock”

On April 23, 2001, Marcelo Nicchio appeared in the cover story of Folhateen, the youth supplement of Folha de S.Paulo, published after Joey Ramone's death. The printed cover line was “Órfãos do Rock” (“Orphans of Rock”); the inside article preserved in Folha's official digital archive was titled “Onde estão os ídolos?” (“Where are the idols?”).
The article records his comments on Joey Ramone, punk culture, the do-it-yourself principle, the Brazilian underground market and the persistence of rock.
Column "Prateleira Cultural" - Sinal Verde Magazine
Between 2003 and 2006, Nicchio regularly wrote the Prateleira Cultural column for Sinal Verde magazine, while also publishing pieces in other sections. The preserved archive comprises 22 authored texts from that period.

His curation and writing covered the Ramones, Kurt Cobain, Seu Jorge, the band 365, Brazilian cinema, television, literature, radio and cultural spaces, as well as digital subjects including Skype and VoIP, Google Earth, RSS/XML, internet radio and Orkut.
The combination of cultural criticism and digital culture shows that technology was already part of his editorial agenda before his later professional specialization in Search.
The complete original Prateleira Cultural archive is preserved on a dedicated HUB page, bringing together 22 Portuguese-language columns and authored texts published between 2003 and 2006, with reviewed transcriptions and digitized magazine pages.
Meia-Noite e Uns
Meia-Noite e Uns was a pop-literature television program broadcast by RedeTV! and hosted by Soninha Francine. Marcelo Nicchio served as Artistic Director and Executive Producer alongside Cristiano Gonçalves, through Dreamsnetwork.tv.
Nicchio created the artistic and visual concept and the narrative structure. Paulão de Carvalho took part in the writing and co-presented the program at Nicchio's invitation; the theme music was written and produced with Fábio Badi.

The intended title was originally Meia-Noite e Um (“12:01 a.m.”), linked to a blog of the same name and the idea of starting one minute after midnight. Because the exact minute could not be guaranteed in the schedule, the title became Meia-Noite e Uns.

O Arquiteto da Apoteose
O Arquiteto da Apoteose is a documentary about carnival designer Sidnei França. Material was filmed, but the project was not finalized and remains a work in progress. Nicchio wrote and directed the documentary.
Unpublished making-of footage survives. A future public release can document the production process without presenting the project as a completed or released film.
Autópsia
Autópsia was conceived and produced during the pandemic as an audiovisual documentary/entertainment project for streaming/pay-TV. Set at Espaço Cultural Cemitério de Automóveis in São Paulo, the format was designed as 10 one-hour episodes, combining debates with poetry, musical presentations and theatrical performances. The project reached filming and has recorded material, but it was not publicly released.
In the original presentation credits, Marcelo Nicchio is credited with the Original Idea and Artistic Direction and is part of Creation alongside Paulão de Carvalho, Julio Piconi and Eduardo Fabro. Julio Piconi is credited with General Direction, Paulão de Carvalho with Content Direction, Sidnei França with Art Direction and Eduardo Fabro with Executive Direction.
The presentation predates filming and records the concept, references, episode structure and proposed cast and guests at that stage of the project — some were realized and others were not. The filmed material remains in the archive and is not published; the original deck preserves the project's identity and personality.
